Thermage FLX versus Ultherapy – Which is the best Non-Surgical Face & Body Lift For You?
Without doubt these are the two leading non-surgical skin lifting and tightening procedures loved by celebrities worldwide right from Tess Daly (Ultherapy) to international superstars such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston (Thermage FLX).
Technically the procedures and technology are different with Ultherapy based upon ultrasound whilst Thermage FLX uses radiofrequency but both seek to naturally stimulate collagen and elastin. However there are differences in the areas treated and level at which they work.
For example, Thermage FLX can be used on far more extensive areas than Ultherapy including the face, eyes, neck, hands, legs, stomach and buttocks whilst Ultherapy is primarily limited to the face, neck, chin and the decolletage areas.
Ultherapy does however operate at the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) level, which is the same level at which plastic surgeons normally operate. There are also some differences which suggest that Ultherapy is best for those with thicker skin and within a slightly tighter age group than may apply for Thermage FLX.
Nonetheless, the fact that Ultherapy operates at the SMAS level will be an attraction for some patients. Whichever treatment is selected there is no doubt that both represent the Gold Standard and have been proven to work and often produce remarkable results.
Even better, Retriva’s 360 degree approach means that our results are enhanced by the simple fact that we advise on skin care, wellness, diet and even MSK health something that few other clinics emulate.
